Using DOORS version 9v2 via CITRIX. Has anyone ever experienced a critical error report such as the following when opening a module. Error while parsing file '/v6data/a0/50/00/m00015eb1.mod/views/views.ix' at line 1: expecting Index
The error report is also accompanied by a DXL Interaction window opening up and reporting the following DXL errors.
-R-E- DXL: <config/baseWindowCallbacks.inc:1534> An unexpected error has occurred: Unexpected Token
This is the sequence of events that led to this situation:

Re: DOORS parsing error prevents opening of a module Not direcly with this error message, but I heard of cases where modules have been corrupted. In this case the client seems to have damaged the view index file. IBM support should be able to help you with repairing the module. |
Re: DOORS parsing error prevents opening of a module Paul, probably you have already seen the IBM Technote How to resolve Rational DOORS "Error while parsing file ..." errors http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21442348 ? So, you could try to replace the corrupted view index with it's backup.

Thanks Pekka, That provided the solution, and I should have known that the restoring the ixb back up file as the ixc current file would work - I'm a bit rusty with DOORS Classic as I have not been working closely with it for a while, but now I'm back to helping projects that are using DOORS.
